Part-time Teller

SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Under supervision and in a training capacity, provide service to customers involving receipts and payment of cash, and to recognize customer needs and suggest appropriate Bank services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
oReceive all types of deposits:
Checking
Savings
Tax deposits
Credit Card deposits
Loan payments
oCount, prove, and package currency and coin.
oCash checks following proper Bank procedures, making sure funds are available and collected.
oRedeem and sell U.S. Savings Bonds.
oBalance cash drawer and prepare balancing sheets, keeping within the cash limit assigned.
oAssist in night depository functions.
oKeeps teller station furnished with a working supply of forms.
oAdhere to all policies and procedures along with maintaining an awareness of all applicable laws and regulations.
oOpen accounts including Checking, Savings, and Certificates of Deposits.
oAnswer phone when necessary.
oCross sell and promote all bank products.
oServe safe deposit box customers.
oBalance Automatic Teller Machine.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
oOther duties as assigned from time to time by the Office Manager or other Officers.
WORKING CONDITIONS OF THE JOB
oStationed at teller area 95% of working time.
oRequires standing on feet good share of day.
oWork at different branches with short notice or as scheduled.
oHandling and lifting large bags or boxes of coins.
oNo particular hazards on the job.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
oHigh School education.
oGood interpersonal communication and computer skills: ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers and adding machines.
oAbility to retain confidential information.
oProfessional appearance and manner is required for this customer contact position.
oMust have proper phone etiquette.

oPrior cash handling experienceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
