Sr. Maintenance Technician

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESAssists in maintaining machines and equipment to operate at peak efficiency with maximum utilization and up time.
Performs predictive, preventative as well as inspection maintenance.
SPECIFIC DUTIES Performs breakdown maintenance as well as predictive and preventative maintenance.
Provides feedback to both Production and Maintenance Associates.
Identifies potential safety problems and makes needed safety adjustments as necessary.
Identifies potential problem areas within the production area.
Identifies downtime causes, and reports same to Production and Maintenance Associates.
Rebuild components as needed.
Assists in development of Maintenance Procedures and Processes.
Performs corrective maintenance, lubrication, and equipment inspection.
Assists in identifying causes during inspection and make needed adjustments as necessary.
Provide written feedback on work performed on work orders, inspection check list and repair requisitions.
Participates in overall machine effectiveness efforts and waste reduction.
Works in the most efficient manner to meet and exceed all established corporate goals.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Assists in analyzing and resolving work problems.
Consistently adhere to, and support, policies and procedures, including ISO, and safety regulations; assist in investigating and documenting potential infractions.
Consistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the job.
Organize and maintain efficiency of personal work area.
Give and accept instructions and duties in a positive manner, treating all co-workers with dignity and respect.
Assist in maintaining MTD values (Family, Inventive Spirit, Appreciation, Give Back, and Communication) daily, through thoughts and actions.
Performs related duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONEquivalent to a high school education with additional formal training in maintenance or related courses to include electrical and hydraulic exposure.
EXPERIENCEMinimum of two (2) years in general maintenance, of which one (1) years experience should be related to stamping presses and support equipment.
Must be well versed in electrical and hydraulic aspects of machinery.
ERRORSErrors could result in plant shutdown, loss of production and efficiency, damage to capital equipment and excessive machine downtime as well as substantial monetary losses.
COMPLEXITY OF DUTIESMust work independently, be able to make decisions with minimum assistance, be able to initiate preventive, predictive and scheduled maintenance programs, schedule Maintenance Associates effectively and follow systems and procedures.
CONTACT WITH OTHERSRequires daily contact with Management and Production Associates, and Suppliers.
Assists in influencing decisions relative to major repairs, equipment replacement and new installations requiring substantial monetary expenditures.
Assists in controlling costs through the work order procedure.
MENTAL OR VISUAL DEMANDWill be exposed to reading prints and diagrams requiring visual and mental attentiveness.
Generally a physically demanding environment as a Maintenance Technician.
CONFIDENTIAL DATAWill have exposure to proprietary methods and techniques related to production.
WORKING CONDITIONSExposed to normal plant environment.
CHARACTER OF SUPERVISIONIndividual will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Accountable for all aspects of efficiency, expenditures, control and Associate relationships within Maintenance.
SUPERVISION RECEIVEDWorks under supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Refers problems to Supervisor or other department Associates.
